    I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for...

      I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

    From what I understand. We on the Virgin Islands pay a U.S. Federal "mirrored system". What that means Is we don't pay. Any U.S. Federal taxes? We pay only to the Virgin Islands. A mirrored or copied system. Identical to the US federal system. So there are NO state taxes. This is a huge benefit. For high income earners. Who can employ full time. US Virgin Island residents.

    I’ve lived and traveled throughout Vietnam for the past 20 years, and this video is extremely disrespectful and negative of what the real truth and reality is in the wonderful country. Sure, some of these things mentioned in the video do happen occasionally, but generally it’s very very safe, clean, healthy, interesting, cheap, and trouble free to travel here, and live here. This video reminds me of a lady who had her handbag stolen in Rome, and now she absolutely hates the whole of Italy 😂😂😂

    The term colony is usually not correctly used. Romans didnt create colonies, they created provinces. Colony was a term used by the romans originally to define a place with a settlement in order to exploit/extract resources and raw matterials. Only that. The difference between a colony and a province is that in the first case you dont create infrastructure excepting the basic for the exploitation, and in the second you create cities, roads, aqueducts, theaters, temples, universities, schools... etc... because the idea is to replicate what you have in the metropoli. In the case of the romans, normally what they did is adding provinces to their empire, in such a way the roman way of life was exported to the conquered lands. So the new citizens were considered also romans ready to be civilized with the same rights and obligations. The use for the word Collony in the sense we use it today started by the end of XVII - beginning of VIII century with the industrial revolution from the illustration.

      India has changed its visa requirements since this video was made. Check to see if you qualify under the new rules. I have an acquaintance who has been there for more than 20 years. She does leave the country to get her visa renewed from time to time, but she has never been denied re-entry.

    • @AndrewSeaton101
      @AndrewSeaton101 16 дней назад

      @@MaryGwenDungan Thanks, Mary. I checked the Indian Govt Visa website. There is no retirement visa for foreign nationals. I can get a multiple entry tourist visa for 5 years, but it only allows me to stay for 90 days at a time (Australian citizen - 180 days for USA), then I have to leave the country to renew it for another 90 days. That's not practical for me. I've emailed the Indian Consulate in Australia to double check if this is my only option.

      @@AndrewSeaton101 Oh, that's too bad unless there's some way around it. There are a lot of people who live in the ashrams for years. I know they have to leave from time to time, but they go to Nepal, for instance. The woman who I know slightly is from Venezuela, and I knew her now-deceased husband who was from the US. He was there for more than 20 years also. I can see that as you get older, this arrangement wouldn't work well.

    • @AndrewSeaton101
      @AndrewSeaton101 16 дней назад

      @@MaryGwenDungan Yes, I wondered about just ducking across the border every 90 days. But I don't think it's that easy. A requirement of the tourist visa is that I have a return flight booked. And even if I could just go to Nepal for a week then return, as you say, as I'm getting older it wouldn't feel like a good arrangement. It would kinda feel like I've got no home. I know my real home is not in this world, but it's still kinda nice to feel like I'm a bit settled somewhere, while I'm still on the planet.🙂 The other thing is that living in India would add just a few nice elements to my life, but I know I'd miss so much that I already enjoy where I am. I'll content myself with what I have.😌 Cheers
